The Good, The Bad, and The Painful

When I went into the sewing space today I had every intention of working on the quilting for the quilt that I almost have done.  I sat looking at it as I finished my cup of coffee and decided that I wanted to do something else.

Since I said no more new things (except for the super secret project of course) I decided to pull out the UFOs and see if anything struck my fancy.

I had cut strips and started sewing them for two different postage stamp quilts quite some time ago.  They looked like what I wanted to work on today.  I got the center portion of one finished and quilted.  It will of course grow quite a bit more before I call it done.  The second one I am still piecing but I think I made good progress on both of them since there wasn't much done when I pulled them out.

Later, after hubby left for work I was working on getting some quilts up on the walls in the living room.  Without knowing that someone had left something that didn't belong in the middle of the living room floor, I walked through carrying a bundle of quilts, tripped and went down hard, smacking my head on the corner of the cedar chest.  I wanted to say a bad word or two so I settled for some cursing in Klingon.  It didn't really help so I cried a little!  That didn't help either, since then I had a runny nose along with a big bump on me ol' nogin!  I ended up with this before I toppled over though.

:) Feeling better today.

I was scared more yesterday when everytime I took a step on the side I fell on my hip was shooting pain into my abdomen. If it hadn't been feeling better today I was going to the Dr. to see if I fractured something.

Silly kids and their leaving silly things laying around on the floor!

Help! I think I may have screwed up BIG TIME. I made your block for Stash Bee and it looks great. Looks just like yours, but it's only 9" square. Is that right??? I followed the directions to a "T" and unpicked ALL the seams I thought weren't straight enough, but it came out short.

Ha, ha! Cursing in Klingon!

But not laughing at the bump on your head. I'm so sorry! I hope you're OK.

I love the quilts you put up on the walls. I love the colors of the walls, as well!

Oweee...hope all is well with the bump on the noggin. The quilt on the right reminds me of a couple I made for my sons.... An "around the world" pattern was what they called mine..... I think they will be beautiful!
