Next, I was "volunteered" by someone who will remain nameless to "finish" a quilt for someone. A quilt that this someone's mother started who knows how long ago. It has to be a baby quilt for a baby shower that is on Sunday. The quilt is a large piece of blue fabric (a cotton mix I think?) with soccer balls, a large piece of flannel with various fire trucks on it some red binding (?) material and a large piece of prequilted batting. From the looks of things it was going to be a whole cloth quilt about the size between crib and twin bed. Of course I can't just tie it with the included red yarn and leave it... oh no, I must make it into something special. Fabric is in the wash and HOPEFULLY I can 'make it happen' by Saturday so I can get the quilt to her.
It's WIP Wednesday! So other than the above project which I haven't officially started until my fabric is done laundering... this is what I'm working on.
Run over to Freshly Pieced to see the other WIP Wednesday goodies. All gorgeous!
Last... lookie what came in my mail today!
I haven't decided what goodies I'm taking out yet. I'll have a giveaway over the weekend for a chance to win this awesome box of magical quilty goodness! I am not a pattern kinda quilt maker, but there is one in there that I just might have to take out and try.
That's all for today. Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday!
