A Finish! Bowtie Oh Why?

I finished one of 'em!  Bowtie Oh Why?  I call it this because after I bought the blocks on eBay I started putting them together even though they were all not the same size.  I figured I'd make it work.  That was about 7ish years ago.  I got it to about 36" square and then put it all away.  I think this is likely the oldest UFO/WIP that I have in my bins and now it is DONE!  Well at least the first one is done.  The second top is almost done and there are enough unassembled blocks for at least one more quilt.

So without further ado, here it is.  Finished at 60" square, the perfect snuggle size or as you will see from the first picture as a counterpane on a queen sized bed.

Now I just need to finish the borders on the other one, it will be bed sized and then FMQ it.

Happy Thursday everyone!

Way to go! I understand the UFO's lurking in the ark corners of one's mind; isn't it a relief to complete?! I urge to continue on with the next one while the momentum is going! It won't be easy with so many projects out there that you could be tempted by (I am also giving myself this pep-speech as I am struggle with my 2nd quilt of a pair).

You've got me wondering if I should sell some of my WIP's (just the ones I hate) on eBay . . .

Anyway, congrats on a great finish! I love it when one that has been lurking about for years gets checked off as DONE! You did a great job! I especially like the variegated thread. Thanks for linking up!
