Hubby's Knitting/Yarn/Crochet bag

Since he grabbed it before I could even get all the bits of thread off of it and loaded it up I guess it is acceptable.  I wasn't overly thrilled with it, and I decided that I don't really like making bags that much, but as long as he is happy, I'm happy.

I'm linked up over on Such a Sew and Sew but I can't get her neeto button to work!

It must be blogger cuz I can't get Richard and Tanya's button to work right either..

t's a basic reversable bag that I modified a bit to add a flap to so it would be more like a messenger bag.

Inside I added pockets for his needles and hooks:

And for his patterns and knitting gadgety things that I don't understand or know what they are for.

I'll probably try to make another one for his extra yarn since he went from some plastic grocery bags into this and a large reusable grocery bag and he still has 3 large cones of cotton yarn on his desk.  For now, I am just glad to take another project off of my UFO list!

I saw a pattern for a bowl to hold the yarn you are using in a while ago but I can't find it.
Basically it was a cheap plastic bowl with a fabric cover and drawstring at the top. You thread the end of the yarn through the drawstring hole and then knit, the yarn doesn't get lost, dirty or roll away and it stops tangles too.
Thought that would be a good idea for your husbands yarn.
Love the bag, it is a great idea for transporting knitting.

That is a really cool bag! The colors are really fabulous and I love the log cabins! Also, putting in special pockets -- such a nice touch! I'm glad your husband loved it! Great finish! Thank you for linking up!
