Squishy Mail and My Daughter's Doings

Some of the fabric that I ordered arrived this morning!  I was so excited to get this one:

Bukhara!  From The Intrepid Thread.  I ordered this over the holiday while Julie was running a sale and I couldn't be happier with this purchase.  This fabric is so pretty and not my normal fabric choice at all but I already know how I'm going to use it and I can't wait to cut into it!  Julie included a couple of charm squares also that I added to my Drunkard's Path pile.  Eventually I'll have enough charms for a whole quilt top! :D

In other news.. my daughter makes beaded things.  I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before.  I used to do a lot more beading than I do now because my fingers are getting stiffer as I get older.  My hubby taught me how to do beading with a loom and something called Peyote beading which is basically stitching the beads together.  My daughter loves it and so she is our beader now.  I took some pictures yesterday while she was sitting on my crafting table, watching Monk on her Kindle Fire and working on some beading projects.  You can see in the last picture that she has quite a few finished bracelets.

Right now she is working on things that other people have asked her to make for them.  She made hubby a really cool hat band for his cowboy hat a while ago and he has gotten comments and people ask where he got the hat band.  Anyway, here are some of her things. :D

Now I'm off to get ready for a dental appointment and then hopefully, home to quilt some more.  I'm about 1/3 of the way done with the quilting on Bowtie Duex.  So we'll see what I can accomplish this evening. :D  Happy Monday everyone!

Very pretty new fabric and I love your daughter's bracelets. She should sell them. I would definitely be interested in some to give as gifts.
