The Kindness of Friends and a W.I.P.

Today I woke up feeling a bit blah, but better than yesterday when I think I had some sort of flu maybe.  I was achey and my throat was tender so I sat in a recliner all day watching the "boob tube" as my Dad used to call it.

As the day has progressed I am feeling better and better, and so, this means some sewing is happening.

Before I get to that though, I want to thank my friends that I haven't met yet who offered so generously to send me some scraps in colors that I needed after my post before last.  One of my generous online quilty friends even went so far as to assemble a quilty care package of colors that I replied to her that I was hunting up.

You may bet that there will be a post about this later.  Thank you so much Jamie, you made my week!  (Everyone, go check out Jamie's blog it is fun and has donuts!)

First I finished the card to go with the Star Wars quilt:

I'm working on checkerboards today for the SW quilt and hope to get it done so tomorrow I can add borders to the front and back and get it basted and ready for quilting.

Not much accomplished on this... my one or two circles per day thing fell through but I'm working on two circles to add to it today so I'll get it back on track.

My last project with the pineapple blocks and mini quilt tops is at a stand still while I wait for the second mini to get here.  I hope to have at least the top assembled by reveal day which is the 19th.  I'll be linking up over at Freshly Pieced!

love the checkerboard pieces!! It brightens the quilt up so very much. I know this can be slow, but so worth the effect.

No problem, Sam! My husband will mail it tomorrow on his way to work so hopefully it will arrive pretty soon. Glad you are feeling better. I really love your Star Wars quilt. My girls love the movies (it's the one thing they share in common with their dad).
