W.I.P. Wednesday

I have been a lazy girl.  Sunday we did our big turkey dinner with my youngest sis in law and her little family and since then I've been slacking on sewing, but doing some home rearranging and clutter busting.

Needless to say this makes Hubby very happy since my usual philosophy on house keeping can best be explained by these:

So today I'm back in the sewing room.  I got the borders on the Star Wars quilt top, the top is 82 inches by 72 inches.  Bigger than I had planned on but I'm glad it will be nearly bed sized for them.  He's a tall guy so this will at least cover him tootsies to shoulders!

Here is a picture of one of the character blocks that I had to wonkily add borders to:

I added a quote to each of those blocks.  Daughter was my research assistant for that part.    I'm sure you can see that corners are not perfect everywhere but oddly, I'm okay with that on this quilt.  I love how it turned out!

Today I'm working on getting more of the back pieced to bring it up to size so I can get this basted and quilted.  I'd like for hubby to be able to give it to his boss by the end of next week.  Otherwise the only thing I'm concentrating on is staying warm!  I'll be linking up at Freshly Pieced.
