Back to Normal?

Okay, I will admit it, I am never normal!

My oldest son got me a Limited Edition Star Trek Pez dispenser set.  I am a major nerd/geek and a Trek geek in particular.  I'm not one of those people who won't open something just because it is a collector set.  I want to ENJOY the things I adore.

As soon as I opened the box, both boys started yelling "Nooooo now it is not N.I.B. (new in box) anymore!!!"

I told them to be quiet because Worf was giving me delicious orange candy.

I had my Pfaff in the shop for a checkup and I got her back yesterday.  She is not behaving AT ALL!  I have no idea what they did to her.  She worked fine when I took her in, but now she is skipping stitches and getting thread tangles around the needle and I have no idea why.  I have rethreaded half a dozen times and rethreaded the bobbin at least that many times too.  I changed the needle.  I can't figure out what the heck is going on and it is quite frustrating!

I'm going to fool with the tension and if she doesn't start behaving I'm going to have take her back again to the sewing center where I got her and took her for service.  I've googled, looking for answers but none have been found.

IF I can get her working I'm nearly 2/3 done with a carrying case for my daughter in law's tablet computer that she got for Christmas.  I had hoped to finish it up tonight so I can squeak in one more finish for the year.  I think tomorrow we are going with the kids to see the Hobbit.  Sunday I'm babysitting for my sis in law's kids so they can actually go out and have dinner and a bit of fun.

I've also started working on another quilt that isn't on my UFO list.  I told hubby that I wanted to make a certain person a quilt but I wasn't sure what they would like.  He knew exactly what they would like and he and I went out and we pulled fabric together for it.  The center is done and I just need to get some borders on it so I can get it quilted up.  It is for some acquaintances  of ours who's last couple of years have been pretty hard so I wanted to do something nice for them.

That's it for me.  I'm looking forward to the "Make It Modern" bee to start.  I have my pictures for my tutorial all taken and I hope my tutorial will make sense when I post it.  I have to do the sketch of what my finish should look like once I get all the blocks from everyone else and get them together. :D

That's so nice of you to babysit! I love going out without the kids every blue moon.

I can't wait to see what you've got for us for the Make It Modern bee!
