Thanks!

Thanks for all of the advice on my quilting dilemma.  Sadly...

Well I quilted about 20 square inches but started having thread, bobbin issues so I took the quilt off the machine and tossed it, back up, on my work table where I discovered that the quilting that looked so great on the front, looked HORRIBLE on the back!

If you remember this Star Wars quilt is reversible so the guys wife will like it too.  Well it just looked really bad, that is all I will say.  Hubby (what a good guy!) and my daughter spent a couple of hours with me picking that quilting out.

The new plan was sort of an overall large meander with a star thrown in, here and there.  I spent about 3 hours last night working on that and it looks good on both sides so that is what I'm going with.  Hubby said this morning when I showed it to him that it looks much better.  As of right now I've got about 1/4 of the quilting done and I hope to finish it today.  A large random meander doesn't take very long to do since I don't have to seek to be as perfect as if I'm getting all fancy schmancy. :D

Thank you all for your suggestions and advice, even though it didn't work out the way I wanted I still think this will be a very cool quilt!

Well, your new plan sounds great. I forgot you were having to deal with front and back!! The back side of my FMQ never looks tight enough. I need to figure out how to fix that.

Glad to know that you got help pulling out the oops part and you figured out what does work better. Good luck getting it finished.
