Putting borders on goes so much faster when they are all pieced ahead of time. The only reason they are all pieced is because I had to take them off due to some wavey problems.
Here is where I took it down to since the problems all started with an aqua and white solid fabric border that went on after that first black border:
Then I started putting the checkerboard border back on, then a solid fabric orange border, then my flying geese (I had to cut and piece about a half dozen more since I was putting the borders back on in a different order) then another solid fabric orange border then another black solid border then I started making 1.5" strips for a piano key border as the last border. I still have two sides of piano keys to piece and put on but here's an idea of how my borders are shaping up:
Apparently my LQS did not realize it is a special day for them today and they were not running any type of sales. That's alright though, hubby stopped and got the Jet Black that was the only thing I needed so I wasn't even there to spend money that I didn't need to spend!
So tomorrow I'll finish the borders on this quilt and if I'm very lucky I'll get it basted as well! It is looking like I might just get it done by the end of the month deadline!

This is really looking good! You will not regret taking the borders off to fix the waving. I don't think my local shops were celebrating, either, but I don't know as on Wednesday I "celebrated" Support Your Local Optical Shop to the tune of over $400. So no fabric indulgences for me, but hey, in a week or so when I get the new glasses, at least perhaps I can see better!
