Hubby's Vacation

I have gotten absolutely nothing done because my hubby is on vacation.  I thought it would be more of a "staycation" but it isn't working out that way!

We got back yesterday from a trip down the freeway to see my sister.  Hubby also has an  Aunt and Uncle in the same area that we spent a lot of time with this trip.  Last night we went to his metal detector club meeting and today we had to do a big shop to restock the food supplies.

One more trip is in the works but we're not sure exactly which day we are going.

I've spent all of my free time ripping borders off the surprise quilt since I messed it up and the mess kept getting bigger and bigger the further out from the original mess up I went so I finally convinced myself that I needed to unborder it and try again.

I'll write a post about this as I start reassembly since I promised a couple of people a post about borders and how to do them so your stuff doesn't turn out all wavey.  Wavey is the polite way to describe what I had going on.... I kept going trying to convince myself I could work it all out in the quilting.  In other words I was telling myself fibs so I wouldn't have take off one border... but now I have to take off about five!

I added 7 yards to my stash, I justified it by telling myself it is for swaps and stuff.
