Wow! Just Wow!

The awesomeness of the online quilting community never ceases to amaze me.

We all have them, the beginnings of quilty projects, mini tops that we know will take us a long time to actually finish, things we have inherited or said "yeah I'll take that!" so as not to "waste" the creativity of someone else who took the time to start it.  This year is a year for me to finish all those projects.

So I'll stop rambling and get to the point....

I enlarged my "Quilt U Be Mine" mini that I got back from my group (group #2) to make into an almost bed sized quilt for someone I know who I think really needs some quilty love.  A warm hug made from fabric with love.  You all know what I mean I'm sure.

Another participant in the Quilt U Be Mine round robin saw what I was doing with my mini and since she is like me and has a lot of wall quilts already and also enough Valentine decorations asked if I would like one of the two minis that she got back, even though she loves them, to enlarge so that the little family I was going to make my quilt for wouldn't have to share!  Isn't that AWESOME?!  I think so!  Imagine my surprise yesterday afternoon when the box got here with not one, but two mini quilt tops!!

I'm hoping to see my friend that the quilts are for in mid-March so I'm going to get the second quilt top enlarged (once I choose which one to use) and done by then and I can hardly wait!  The third quilt top will be enlarged for another girl that I know who loves pink and that I have wanted to make a quilt for so they will all be going to good, loving homes and to people who will love and appreciate them.

Thanks so much Rachel!  She also sent along some extra fabric to use in the borders.  Thanks again and I will keep you posted and take pictures of the happy gift getters!  Everyone have an awesome day!  I have some quilting to do!

I love this story and that there will be multiple happy endings. I know the quilts will be greatly loved and isn't that what this is all about in the 1st place.
