Modern Mini Mystery Round Robin 2013 Reveal! And.....

Today is the day!  I had hoped to have more to show you, since I plan to expand the top I got back into a larger quilt, but alas, I have managed to completely mess up my back to such an extent that I haven't been sewing or doing much of anything other than reclining and reading or watching the tube.

Have  you ever done something you've done a million times but this time something goes completely wrong and every muscle in your back or some other part of your body goes into spasm?  That is what I did, somehow, unloading the dishwasher.  It's been about 5 days and I can say that the rest is helping since now it is mainly concentrated in my neck and trapezius muscles.

Anyway, I am super pleased with the top that I got back.  I did get a thin black and gray border added to it and some of the wonky weird strips that I plan to piece for the next border cut before my back went kerplooey.

What I sent out on it's journey:

What came home to me:

Isn't it bright and cheerful!  I just love it.  As I have done in the past with MMMRR tops that I get back and that I've had 'donated' after the reveals, I'm going to make this as a charity quilt (even though I really love it and would love to keep it myself!) for a little boy who is going through some really hard stuff right now.  He is in a good home now so things will be better for him, but I want him to know that people care about him so I'm going to finish this one up for him.

Thank you ladies, you did an outstanding job!  I love it!  I'll be sure to post pictures once it is done and possibly pics of it with it's new owner as well.

Bless you all for your wonderful work on this top!

So sorry about your back. It is a wonderful quilt and it is wonderful that you are gifting it to a special little boy. I'm sure he will love it.

Sorry you hurt your back. I'd be going crazy by now ... I love the wonkiness of your quilt and I'm sure your recipient will too. You're always so generous!
