A Baby Finish!

Wow!  My last finish was in May!!  I think summer has just been really lazy for me but getting a finish has really gotten my sew-jo back for me.

A nice, simple design and 2 days to get it sewn and quilted and finished has really made me WANT to be in the sewing space again.  I might even finish the other quilt that is SO close to done, but if not today then tomorrow.

So here's the baby quilt that I got done for our first grand-child who is due in November.  Korben Dallas is going to be his name.  We can't wait to meet him!  His room is a jungle theme and I had this jungle print so decided an Attic Windows quilt would be perfect.  The back is made from a piece of fabric that was in my Grandmother's cedar chest and I thought what better use for it than in a quilt?

I did minimal quilting with squiggly and straight lines just on the seams so that it will be super soft and cuddly for the tyke.

Now I need to get back out there and get the borders on that commission quilt done!

This is so cute! I love the attic windows, what a great way to show off the back pattern. He'll be a very lucky snuggly baby!
