Often as things get finished and posted people ask me "How did you do that so FAST?!" Well, the answer is it is something that I started at some point in my now 20 years of quilting and I'm just now getting back to it.
I have updated my UFO page and as I begin to work on projects I will be doing a blog post with the date, the project name and where I am starting (in other words how much was already done when I got back to it).
Today I am getting back to the Churn Dash out of Kona Pepper and a really bright colorful line that I bought some of about 3 or 4 years ago but can't remember the name of now. :)
I started quilting this free motion on my regular sewing machine before I got the mid-arm quilter. I was changing thread colors a lot and didn't think I could do on the mid arm but this morning I have spent about 4 hours thinking, tinkering and figuring things out and now I can confidently say I will not have to sit hunched over my Pfaff wrestling with this quilt.
I got it loaded and I'll have to unload and reload it a couple of times to go from the center out and make sure my backing stays taut but I know what I'm doing now and it should go along pretty well. This quilt is about 1/5 quilted so far so that's where I'm starting. I hope to have it done by January 1, 2016.
The picture I took today after getting it loaded on the quilter. My goal is to slog my way through as many of my UFOs as I can this year and NOT start new projects. I have been doing really good not buying fabric, and I have several stacks of fabric that I have ideas for but I will not cut them and start them until I get these UFOs DONE!!! *she says with confidence* Stop laughing!! LOL!

I love the bright colours in your quilt. Can't wait to see the quilting all done! :-)
Love how the dark fabric makes the other colors POP!
