Have you checked the Sew Its For Sale Yahoo group? You might be able to get a used one there for a lot less money = you'd have it sooner.Michelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09269423321421270481noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5650599022224495654.post-73478417070338815592013-09-13T05:20:57.299-07:002013-09-13T05:20:57.299-07:00There is nothing more frustrating than when the ma...There is nothing more frustrating than when the machine will not perform as we expect. I sometimes have that same issue where the top thread seems to get twisted in the bobbin area and when the needle comes back up, I have to stop and start over. That's usually on a vintage machine. If you don't want to spend much, I highly recommend a used Bernina 930. You can get them for between $500 and $1000 and they are a true workhorse. Mine quilts almost silently and can go for hours without any more effort than replacing the bobbin and a drop of oil between each bobbin. I even found the instructions to do my own service and tension adjustments. Good luck with whatever choice you make. If you're going to FMQ, you have to have a machine that will do it or you'll go crazy trying. LaneLanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17961668927812199081noreply@blogger.com
