Randomness......

I've been trying to catch a cold.  Everyone in my house is sick with it, and I was dreading it.  It held off until yesterday, Friday, the day every week that I get to work from home.  It wasn't to bad yesterday, but today it is full blown misery.

I had plans to go and do and this and that today, but I don't think I'm leaving my cozy warm house, especially since our normal Northwest weather is back in full force, yes, it is pouring rain.

My Momma came up a few weeks ago to visit my sister and her hubby and the kids and the new baby.  When we took her from the train up to my sister's place in Poulsbo I don't think my sis knew how happy I was to see all 3 of the quilts I'd made for the kids out and being used.  She posts pictures on Facebook with the quilts in there too.  I'm sure she doesn't really think about it but seeing them being used to keep precious little people warm just makes me so happy!  Is that weird?  I don't think so!

Just a couple, three of the pictures my sis has posted recently.  Mason is getting use out of his quilt and Kenzie's quilt in these pictures and while we were up there Zoey's quilt was in the little bed they have for him.

Zoey has outgrown her baby quilt so it's probably time to start on another one for her or dig through my projects and see if I can find something suitable for a little girl to finish up and give her.  All of my siblings still need quilts too.  Mom needs a new one, the one I made for her years ago became a ragged mess after so much use so she finally trashed it.  Which makes me sad, I can't bring myself to trash them even when they start to fall to pieces.  I should post pictures of the three that I really need to retire but we keep using anyway. LOL!

Anyway, this cold.  I think I'm going to go see how much quilting I can get done on the Churn Dash.  I'd like to finish it so I can move on to something that I can actually quilt on my midarm instead of killing myself hunching over the Pfaff.

That's it from here!

I feel the same way when I see my quilts being used! I too have a small pile of quilts that are getting a little "worn out", but I just can't bring myself to get rid of them. Hope you feel better!
