A Bit of Progress

Good Saturday Morning!

I just wanted to hop on here and do a quick update of projects.

Our grandson's quilt is still in the same spot as last week due to thread issues (it keeps breaking) so I need to figure that out so I can finish quilting it.

My friend's Mariner's Compass (or star not sure what to call it) is also in the same spot as my last update due to trying to decide my next step with borders.

I showed her the medallion and she said she would like the borders to be simple so that the medallion is the focus.

It has to be about Queen size when I'm done because she likes a lot of overhang and her bed is a double.  Anyway, I'm still staring at it once in a while trying to decide what I'm going to do.

I did order fabric during end of year sales so bad me! I'll add it to the spreadsheet as it starts to trickle in.

Project # 3 has been going fairly well.  I have 11 "Granny Square" blocks complete in the French General Château de Chantilly line from Moda, complete.  I LOVE the French General fabrics as I love the color palette of them.  They make lovely, vintage looking quilts which is right up my alley (lets be honest, ANY quilt is right up my alley).

Here's a look at the first 6 I finished.

I think that's it from here for now.  Somehow I have a Saturday to myself and I already did house chores so I'm going to hop on the treadmill for a while and then sew to my heart's content. :)
