Today's Stuff

I love long weekends.

No getting up at 5-5:30 AM like normal, coffee in bed with the YouTube, days like today when there is no plan.

I'll be spending the day in the sewing room minus a bit of house keeping.  Yesterday (Sunday) after we got home our youngest came over and I fixed a ball cap for him.  And before and after his visit I worked on the blocks for the Granny Square quilt.  I'm not sure if I shared that I am going to custom free motion quilt this one on the Juki since I haven't done that kind of quilting lately.  The tracks on my quilter are old and notched up so until I get them replaced it is only really adequate for all over large quilting so that's what I've been doing with it.

The other thing I did yesterday is a little bit of wall art to go with our grandson's quilt that is almost done.  Still need to figure out the thread breakage issue on the quilter so I can finish quilting the quilt.

I just need to put a layer or two of acrylic sealer over that.

Once the Granny Squares are all done and ready for borders I'll get this mess sorted, figure out my thread issue and finish quilting Grandboy's quilt.

Somewhere in all of that I'm also making a prototype dress shirt for the spousal unit.
